这题比较的是a vocal tract，是一种动物的声带与另一种动物的声带相比，而不是比较两种动物。
A应该是不对的，因为A把a vocal tract 与 vocal tracts （THOSE）相比较。

如果were指的是neanderthals，就是表示neanderthals是复数，那复数名词neanderthals怎么had a vocal tract，共用一个？？？
