the stars是主语，them和they都指代主语。

pronoun是一种非常灵活的指代。
首先stars是主语，而like the planets只是比较的成分，更像是一个modifier。
根据逻辑意思可以判断是指代stars，没有任何问题。
现在的Gmat对指代不清是有效性判断而非绝对性的对错，楼主需要把握现在的出题形式啊，一般情况下不要判断pronoun的指代问题，除非没有更明显的错误判断

曼哈顿上写到过，无论怎么样的句子，只要存在代词，总会有歧义，重点是这样的歧义会不会影响到作者表达意思。个人认为这里的逻辑关系还是很清楚的

1 首先回答代词的问题。划线外出现了their apparent positions，their movement，如果划线外指代错了，那么题目就错了，所以B项代词，在这个题目里面，至少出题者是可以接受用they的。
2 题目的聚焦问题，你聚焦在代词上说明焦点不对，自虐了，砍掉earth后的那个that 从句，因为that后只是Subordinate Clauses修饰没啥意义。let the choice lead you，5个选项最后都有连词，连词后面得是个句子啊，但 so far away from Earth，可以做表语，但没有主语啊，先不猜系表结构，只有BD项有代词可以做主语（系词是题目有的，不用猜），D项又错用了AS，所以是B了

请问some of them。。。在这句中做什么成分？？them 是指代 stars。但如果是同位语成分的话，不是应该修饰就近名词嘛？不是变成修饰motion了嘛？期待你的回复！

Like用法错误，比较出问题，句子与名词的比较是不正确的。Comparison的考点。

那planets后面省略are in motion 可以吗
