Medical research findings are customarily not made public prior to their publication in a medical journal that has had them reviewed by a pannel of experts in a process called peer review.It is claimed that this practice delays public access to potentially beneficial information that ,in extreme instances,could save lives.Yet prepublication peer review is the only way to prevent erroneous and therefore potentially harmful information from reaching a public that is ill equipped to evaluate medical claims on its own.Therefor,waiting until a medical journal has published the research findings that have passed peer review is the price that must be paid to protect the public from making decisions based on possibly substandard research.

The argument assumes that
A unless medical research findings are brought to peer review by a medical journal,peer review will not occur.

B anyone who does not serve on a medical review panel does not have the necessary knowledge and expertise to evaluate medical research findings.

CDE均属无关选项，很容易排除。
答案是：A。
但我觉得B也对。B取非：anyone who does not serve on a medical review panel has the necessary knowledge and expertise to evaluate medical research findings.
即：不属于医学评估小组的人也具备评估医学研究结果的知识和专业技能。
那么他们也可以评估research findings，就不会做出错误判断。因此也可以在research findings在madical journal发表前使用research findings，因此是假设。

对于b我举一个反例
湖南人喜欢吃辣椒，
你总不能是给我一个假设说，除了湖南人之外都不喜欢吃辣椒吧
b的问题就是打击面太广了，原文不需要评估小组的人和评估医学研究结果的知识之间的关系
管你有没有这个知识和原文的结论都没有什么关系

可是答案a我就一直是想不通，郁闷

选A是因为，therefor后面引出结论： waiting until a medical journal has published the research findings...........is the price that must be paid to protect the public from making decisions....可见，只有在医学杂志上发表了research findings，并且该research findings be passed by peer review才能使公众正确使用该findings。
A选项正好表明those reseach findings只能通过医学杂志发表，而不会通过其他途径be passed by peer review.排除他因。
A取非，those research findings can be passed through other ways not only be published on medical journal but also other magazines.这样一来结论必然错误。

沿用楼上同学的说法，如果把B取非，则只是证明说，有人有这样的知识，但并不能保证说，公众可以making decisions based on possibly substandard research。而不能使得结论被推翻。因而只能是支持项而不是假设。

我是越来越糊涂了，支持和假设有什么区别啊
支持是用一个原文没有的咚咚来支撑原文的逻辑
假设是用一个新的咚咚来为原文的结论作出一个合理的前提
还是搞不懂
