B 用resulting from形容词短语修饰 carbon dioxide, 比as a result of使用更加恰当,用combustion强调燃烧的结果,使用正确.the best choice

C resulting from就近修饰atmosphere,修饰错误

D that从句就近修饰atmosphere,修饰错误

E 同A后半部分,且atmospheric carbon dioxide that increased ... 不如 increased atmospheric carbon dioxide...来的简洁
