E     were a people which had been part of a widespread,Algonquian-speaking culture.

我的理解：  residents were part of a culture 不搭配。residents 应该和people搭配。

                   people在这里是民族的意思，可以用which来修饰。

                   故选了E。

OG：         residents were part of a culture 搭配合适。

                 E   which is not the proper pronoun for people.

20   Consumers may not think of household cleaning products to be hazardous substances,but many of them can be harmful to health.

D      A consumer may not think of household cleaning probucts as

E      Household cleaning products may not be thought of ,by consumers,as

my opinion:  后面的many of them 中them指代不清，故E虽然恶心但还是应选E

OG：        E passive-voice construction is awkward and wordy.

                 D is correct.

my opinion:  what was 中时态固然错，如果把was改成is这个选项就对。C这个句子我搞不清楚结构～
