请教大家OG上的一道题

In an effort to reduce their inventories, Italian vintners have cut prices; their wines have been priced to sell, and they are.
A have been priced to sell, and they are

are priced to sell, and they do

其中do 指的是reduce。。。。

这里的 their 指代酒商  而最后的they 指代酒

sell不是卖的意思 而是  to be popular at market   ，do 后面省略了  sell

句意是    为了减少库存，意大利酒商已经减价；他们的白酒被限价销售以便在市场中流行，而且酒确实流行了

楼上，they指代的也是酒商，they do是they cut the inventory。同一句话的they和their如果指代不同，是有歧义的。

分号前面讲了一个目的和实施的手段；分号后面讲了在手段实施后目的达到。

楼上的   they 是指代 酒  如果是酒商的话，那就是  酒商的确在销售，显然不符合逻辑意思。句意是用do表强调，强调的是什么呢？肯定不是酒商销售，而是酒流行
