A并不是错在前面，而是第二个逗号后面有很严重的问题。

逗号后面的modifier大有学问。
逗号+Verbing, 是modifer前面的整个clause；
逗号+simple past (made, became, left...)是modify主句的subject；
逗号+noun, 是modify逗号前面最后一个noun或者noun+preposition

然后你再看A，made it the earliest.... 这句话意思就是 "Fossils made [it] the earliest known mammal"？？？逻辑上完全不不对，化石使得it成为最早被知道的哺乳动物？？如果真的要用made，subject应该是the discovery of fossils，而不是Fossils本身。这个是很巨大的区别。
然后A第二个相对来说不那么严重的问题是代词【it】错误，这里不是模糊哦，就是错误，因为 it 逻辑上应该指代sloth，but guess what, "sloth" does not appear in this sentence!!! We only have [fossils] and [arm of a sloth], there is no sloth!!!

当然不可以了。做这个考试你得用老美的思维方式。
the discovery of fossils, or some facts about fossils.......... lead to people nowadays recognize sloth as the earliest known mammal, not the fossils themselves!

逗号后面加现在分词，不是可以做非限制性定语从句的简化么。这个时候和伴随状语怎么区分呢

逗号+doing并不是非限定性定语从句的简化，而是作状语的哈

不加逗号的doing才做定语，是限定性定从的简化
