Firstly, I have to admit that this is the third time to take the TOEFL exam, the scores of the first two was 80 something, and every time when the test finished, I would feel so regret about how much time I had wasted during the exam preparation, I did't prepare it fully so I wouldn't get a fair score, and I did't give my best. All in all, every time when the exam finished, I had came to realize how terribly I had perform and shed regretful tear over it. Frustrated as I was for each time, I stuck into the bad habits several days later and fell into the vicious circle again and again. I have nothing to say on the experience because of my horrible scores, but I can lurk some questions encountering my exam.
Listening Part
1. A student and a teacher talk about the class paper on Birds Immigration: the man said he had problem on searching the material for his paper on Birds Immigration and his professor got quite astonished on that because she assumed that it would be so easy, and then the man told she his questions on the parper, the professor realized that the man was too ambitious to write a graduate's paper while he is only a undergraduate. Therefore, she suggested that the man should write the paper basically on what he had learnt on this term's classes. As per the teacher's instruction, he changed the topic that only focus on Birds Immigration (Please pay fully attention to what the man are gonna write on his paper and it includes two main objects.)
2. Botany Class: The teacher introduce one kind of plant and how special it is when it comes to the classification on this plant, specifically, one key information is the smell of this plant smells like rotten meat and the flies can falicitate the pollination of this plant. Then, how to identify this plant to one order or to one family, the professor set a example that there is one plant that seems to be somewhat alike with the referring plant due to certain shared features. However, after the scientific research, t turned out this assumption is false and the referring plant belongs to one other order that none of plants in this order have common features with this one especially the bad smell. (Please pay attention to the attitude of the professor on the later analysis)
3. Regtime music: The teacher introduce one kind of music - Regtime Music and explain why it gain its popular during around 60s. The key points:
(1) Regtime music is played by music at that time and catch its popularity quickly at that time. The sound is so poweful that it can be played outside (比喻声音的洪亮似乎可以掀翻屋顶travel through the roofs)
(2) Paino was not cheap at that time and it covered so much space unlike this day's electronic piano, that is to say, not everyone can afford one so the paino is the symbol of status and fortune.
(3) One woman in the class questioned the popularity of Regtime Music, said that she can understand the popularity of Rapper and Rolling, but when it comes to Regtime, she didn't have the silightest clue. As to this point, there will be a question on why the woman said this.
Speaking Part
不得不说,5月24/25日的口语部分真的全部中了!!!已经有原帖于此,我不再上传!
The first four with preparation, it would be really piece of cake. Further speaking, if you want to get the good score, prepare them to the fullest. But last two are quite hard even with the notice of questions. I have no comments on that, you prepared beforehand you would get the higher score, you ignore them and that'd be a great loss. In term of this point, I really wanna cry!!!
After this third time exam, I am really devastated and desperate to death because I have no idea that how can I get the low score again and again, and tolerate the low score to shatter my heart completely. But after while, I gradually calmed down and think where I am heading for and what I should do for the next, in other words, I totally missed myself but now I can readliy accept the lowest low of my life. Time wouldn't stop because of your devastated situation, everyday the sun arise and set down, please keep the sanguine attitude for future, to say the last/after all, tomorrow is another day, keep moving on and make your own effort! Don't let the present blunders hinder your next steps, don't depend your destiny on lucks, and don't settle for the next.
