But with careful consideration, I believe that driving to the destination by one's own would be the best one. I will elaborate my views as follows.

There is no denying the fact that driving by one's own would give the person most flexible schedule. Train is the fast and safe way to travel but the person must get to start by the fixed and public schedule. Not to mention sometimes one has to get to the train station before to buy the ticket. That is a lot of things indeed. If a person selected driving there by him, he only needs to decide when to start and everything is available. As a result, this would be more beneficial to one to arrange other works without in hurry.

Moreover, driving to the place maybe is the cheapest way among all the selections. Cab, train, and bus would cost relatively more money than driving by one's own. With this distance 40 miles, it would only need to pay some gas fee for driving there. Even compared the bus, the charge of driving would not more than that no considering the great difference on speed and efficiency.

Admittedly, much other transportation has its own advantages. Bus seems to be cheaper than train but it is obviously too slow and inefficient. Cab is fast and convenient but it is relatively higher price. Train seems to be moderate on the cost. But just as said before it is less convenient than driving by one's own. Driving is surely the one that involves the most advantages.

Finally, driving to the destination by one's own would give the person much fun and pleasure on the trip. Many people, especially the youth, like driving around if they have the spare time, enjoying the fun of speed and freedom. If with some friends going to that place together, the person would enjoy more interest and fun of driving on the trip obviously.

Apparently in today's society, there are a lot of methods of transportation to choose to travel from my home to a place 40 miles away. Which one is the best? As far as I am concerned, I would choose the way driving to the destination and the reasons of my views go as follows.

I am convinced that leading the biggest convenience to me is the first advantage of my choice. Comparing other methods of transportation, such as by train, by bus or by cab, this way has the least limit to me. I could choose anytime I like to start my trip. If you choose to travel by bus or by train, you mostly would have to obey the fixed schedule. Even if you chosen that by cab, you at least must be sure that there is a cab available to you at that time you want to set off or you must call to book a cab service in advance. Therefore driving to the destination is obviously the wisest choice on convenience.

The second reason of my views is that for this right distance, I could enjoy the fun of driving and would not be much tired. On the one hand, I like driving, enjoying the fun of manipulating the car and the feeling of speed, of course based on the fact of safety. These merits I could not find by other ways of travel. On the other hand, 40 miles is not a very long distance to most people, even one person could drive all the way without any tiredness or tedium.

Admittedly, the other methods of transportation also have their traits for both pros and cons, such as the economy of buses but no efficiency, the relative safety of trains but inconveniency on fixed schedule and the convenience of cabs but relative high cost. So if all these factor are contemplated I believe that the advantages of driving to the destination are more obvious to me.

In conclusion, according to what I presented previously, driving to the destination is the first and best one for me to choose. It is the most convenient, interesting and practical way that leads to me the greatest advantages comparing other methods of transportation.
