Got Darden's offer, with an informal letter even without my name (hope it is not a mistake). It comes almost 3weeks after interivew, much longer than I expected. Anyway, Good Luck to everyone!

请问一楼申请的是第几轮的? 我申请的第三轮, 也收到面试邀请了, 可都现在了还没个回音. 打电话去问, 说正在和alumni联系, 得一个个的问过去,看谁有空?! 我提及3月23号deadline的事, 答我说没关系, 到时候还算第三轮,让我等就是了. 我当时没好意思问那万一第三轮的名额已经用完了怎么办. 没过几天, 又收到份email说什么申请可以到6月份截至. faint, 怎么感觉Darden办事拖拖拉拉的? 各位知情的看看是不是Darden不准备要我了, 所以不太care?

其实我手上已经有了另外一个offer, Darden是多半不会去了. 但是死是活我得知道一下吧, 毕竟Darden的essay我可是写了6遍的啊. 总体来说Darden的admin officer 是我申请的5所学校里最差劲的, 慢不说, 给他们发的email, 不论是申请前还是申请后, 几乎没回的.

i was waitlisted by darden, which also suggests an interview. having got an offer from another school, i most probably will not attend the interview either.

Hi! I am a current student at Darden. The key person in charge of A/P admission just joined adcom last year and she might be slow. Let me konw if you have any question and wish to give you guys some positive images about Darden.

Do you have idea what the email saying that the deadline is extended to June 1 is all about? I am really interested in Darden. Do you think peopel should take advantage of this extension? Or should people apply earlier next academic year?

I don’t know much about the deadline extension news but I would like to analyze for you. I guess it depends on your own emergency and apply when you are ready—this is the most important part.

1. If you apply final round this year, even you got rejected, you will have greater chance to get into next year’s program because Darden really likes re-applicant. Some re-applicants or waitlisted students even got scholarship in these two years.

2. If you do not apply for the final round and prefer to apply next year. I would strongly suggest you to apply in 1^st round and CONDUCT interview in 1^st round. This school will not make any decision about admission or scholarship before your interview. Therefore, your interview actually is the final call of your application.

One more point, our school offers scholarships and student loan without co-signers. 4 out of 12 in Class of 05 and 5 out of 13 in Class of 06. There will be one more scholarship only for Chinese applicants in 2006 or 2007; I am not sure the exact time.

I always tought that the previous rejection would be held againt the reapplicant. I am glad that I was wrong.
