这一题答案选择B
我的疑惑有以下两个：
1.曼哈顿说定语从句只能紧跟着被修饰词，我把that they may must think is true 看做一个定语从句，那么这个句子修饰的就应该是opponent，而且完全解释的通啊（他们认为不正确的opponent）。答案却认为它修饰statements
2.C选项为什么不对啊？

that是定语从句，但是很明显文段中的that一定是指statements，因为oppenent是人，that是不可以用来指人的，只有who和whom可以，所以That一定是跳跃修饰了statements
to be是表示将来的时态，如果用to be就说明officials未来觉得这些陈述不是真的，不合语意，所以肯定用一般现在时
