If you want to land a job in IMF or WB, the location of university is probably more important than the ranking. Georgetown, George Washington and Marryland U. at college park are all nice choice.

I have another a question here:

If I can get the offer of these schools at college park,whether my previous working experience and background will impact the job offer.

I do some marketing and sales job in a taiwan-based IT company,so I have not enough confidence although I got a MBA offer in washington dc.

世界银行和imf是不解决身份的，而且读econ的去那里的也不少。要去那里不在于学校或program的排名，在于你有没有人推荐去，比如你的导师。以前还好进些，现在不是那么容易的。而且那里pay的一般，如果是top的business program,去这种官僚机构干吗？

好象世行的收入是不用交税的吧，据说福利也不错

不太清楚他们是否看重原来的工作经验.我知道一人在GEORGETOWN的ECONOMICS拿的MASTER后去了IMF,在这之前没有其他的工作经验.还知道一人马里兰的MBA毕业后去了世行,但他们在那边没呆太久,两年左右吧,不知是否由于不解决身份的原因.收入比起一般专业而言不算少,70K+,ECON的PHD在那边有不少,修假既修本国的假,又修美国的假.
