Agreeor disagree: It is impossible to be completely honest with your friends.
There is a principal reason for agreeingwith the statement that it is impossible to be completely honest with ourfriends and it is the fact that human beings can not act as entirely honestones at any time.
It can not be denied that honesty ischerished human virtue. Regardless of the race, color, and the distinctdissimilarities among cultures, honesty is considered to be the very foundationand the building blocks of human personality and dignity. Any one will beunhappy if he or she is cheated. A small lie might devastate the friendship anddestroy everything good to spiritual and mental life. However, as friends wemay care more about their feelings than other things such as integrity.
A friend in need is a friend in deed, as theold saying goes. Sometimes what your friends need is not the truth but thecourage to move on. Image a situation like this. Your best friend is waiting inher dream company for an important interview and ask you to check the TOEFLresult for her. The truth is that her score is under 90 which will inevitablyhave negative effect on her mood. Will you choose to tell her the unsatisfactoryresult or just tell her that the Internet is not available ? For me, I wouldchoose the latter because under my judgment telling the truth is not best forher.  In general, under some certain circumstances, it is of benefitskeeping the truth secret, which is indeed a way to protect friends and helpthem to achieve the best at that moment.
Apart from the example discussed, honestyis surely demanded when making friends and we'd better trust our friends andtell the truth.  Making friends, however, is complicated, allowing usto hiding the real information and share the positive side with our friends, and of course for their good. Therefore, I believe it is impossible to becompletely honest with our friends.
