请问C哪里不好?
除了return back的back是多余外?
b是不是会看成是Bill Walton continued hoping to return? 而不是Bill Walton was always hoping to return?

现在分词引导状语从句，表伴随。

做伴随跟并列我不大区分的开呢~

我觉的主要还是从原句的逻辑含义上把握

C很明显就是改变了句意了
