我做对了答案是E，但是我对E的many of whom are members of 做什么句子成分不是很清楚，这算什么成分？同位语，状语，还是什么？谢谢，语法角度分析。

这个句子的句子结构是：laos has a land area(modifier) but (has) only a population of xx people, (modifier)修饰people，其实这个题可以这么选，首先看are numbers就知道前面应该是人，那么前面的代词就应该能指代人，ABD都排除了，C选项but后面awkward，明明many of them修饰前面的people，但是变成了独立句子了

我认为many of whom 是代指说明了前面的 a population of only four million people
而作为后面从句的主语部分我认为是非限制性定语从句所以 many of whom 是关系代词

哦，所以many of whom是非限定定语从句，我以前以为只有, which才能引导非限定性定语从句，没想到这个也可以。
