答案是B但是我觉得A选项貌似没问题~
1.明确了some time 和at some time的区别，some time表示一段时间，at some time 表示在某个时间点，所以CDE排除
2.对于破折号后面的that 是否要补出的问题不清楚，看到很多帖子上说that at some time 前面省略了they believe，但是我觉得破折号后面只是对前面句子的补充说明也未尝不可啊，为什么一定要并列？
3.A中reducing 作为伴随结果状语修饰前句哪里错了？

请NNNN解答~

关于A，reducing 应该是做伴随状语，逻辑主语是ancestors即后面句子的主语，不符合逻辑意思。至于伴随状语是否可以修饰前面句子的情况我也不知道。

关于问题2，我也不清楚，不过感觉如果是楼主所说的“破折号后面只是对前面句子的补充说明也未尝不可啊”是否要补出另外一半破折号呢？

还是等大牛解答吧

ing形式作伴随状语既可以表示动作同时发生，逻辑主语是ancestors；也可以是作伴随结果，此时不需要逻辑主语。我认为这道题目里面第二种情况是使用的==
