Essay没要求就不需要写，但是面试前必须要好好准备，这个问题是毫无疑问会被问到的

Only HBS doesn't ask this from begin to end, because it doesn't need any reasons to apply for HBS. Is that it, Jon

Good question!
If the school does not explicitly ask “Why our school” you don’t really have to write about it. It’s okay, and maybe even good to drop one idea here or there, but if it’s not asked don’t spend toooooo much of your essay on it.

Hey Jon,
Some schools even dont ask why MBA. For example, MSU asks what is your post-mba goal and how do your professional experiences align it. How to address this question properly?
Btw, Could you kindly help evaluate my quality? GPA 2.6 in Engineering, G 740, Ielst 7.0, W/E 6 years(to the enrolling date) in international trading. My biggest concern is about my low Gpa. I fear that I cant enter top 50 due to such low Gpa.
Could you let me know your comments?

Hey there Chen,
Well the best direction I can give you regarding the essays is that you should answer EXACTLY what is asked. Many questions will SEEM similar, but be a bit different. So make sure you change your essay for each school.

As for your chances, you can FOR SURE get into a Top 50 with a 740 GMAT. Your GPA will make things very hard in the Top 10 ranking, and a bit hard in the Top 20, but with your amazing GMAT you should be off to a good start.
