A) is
B) are
C) to be
D) of as
E) it is
选项C答案说:The phrase may not think to be true is a hypercorrection or a colloquialism. It makes sense, but it's awkward in Standard Written English.
不太明白为什么不能选C?我觉得make sth to be true 挺好的。。。求大牛指教,谢谢! 作者: 暴躁的大叔 时间: 2014-9-17 16:07
A recent poll of elected officials suggests that candidates often make statements about an opponent that they may not think are true.
你选C了 那么 that they may not think 是什么意思? 这里精简来看应该是:
A recent poll of elected officials suggests that candidates often make statements about an opponent that are true.

同求啊,make statements that they may not think to be true为什么不可以呢?
真正的结构应该是这样的:often make statements (about an opponent) that (they may not think) are true.
