正确答案是d than后面补出了were

但是看下面这道题
Plants are more efficient at acquiring carbon than are fungi, in the form of carbon dioxide, and converting it to energy-rich sugars.

(B) Plants are more efficient at acquiring carbon than fungi,
(C) Plants are more efficient than fungi at acquiring carbon,
(D) Plants, more efficient than fungi at acquiring carbon,

正确答案是c

为什么不可以是a选择？其后也补出了系动词are啊？跪求nn解答！！！

明白了～～～fungi是单数

。。。如果把are变成is a选项应该就正确了

变了is A还是错误的，fungi和in the form of carbon dioxide是不同的对象
第二题对比的是主语plants和fungi，谓语可以省略，比如 I run faster than you （run）， i'm bigger than you（are）
第一题如果省略了were意思就不对了，这边可以补充were 或者改成longer than that of Aleuts xxxx，去掉了were是主语在比较是错误的。

Manhattan has told us that noun modifiers should touch the nouns they modify.所以你把fungi放在最后，以co2的形式这个修饰的就是fungi，意思是蘑菇是以二氧化碳的形式怎么怎么样的，make no sense.但是c把顺序反过来了，以co2的形式修饰吸收carbon，很合理啊。而且Manhattan好像也说了补出动词是一个preference，not a rule

而且，楼主，你单词被得太差了吧！fungi是负数，fungus是单数，同样的还有stimulus，stimuli，alumnus，alumni从 us是阳性单词单数词尾，变成i是从拉丁语演化来的词尾变形，i是阳性负数，现在西班牙语中有些阳性单词仍以us结尾，复数变为i，意大利语中阳性单数o结尾，复数变为i。英语已经不分阴阳性了，但仍保留了一些这样的词尾变化。

楼主错了，第二题是因为in the form of carbon dioxide需要修饰 carbon的。所以即便修改成is也还是有问题的

所以想问一下，than are fungi的这种表达是对的吗？为什么可以出现倒装呢？
难道不应该是than fungi are吗？

than后面补出的verb可以是倒装的

我觉得第一题不能省略were的原因是than前面还有一个eurpoeans；省略were会造成歧义，后一个Inuits可能和前一个inuits比较可能和europeans比较。
第二题如果不看逗号后面内容的话b选项语法上也正确。但因为逗号后面的修饰语的问题，二楼讲的很清楚了，B错误。

than, as后面不倒装倒装都可以吧，倒装是为了避免有时候头重脚轻。
