ChaseDream的PREP08版语法笔记这道题后面有一个知识点补充：(1) If thenoun in question is already an explicitly numerical quantity, then you should use neither "much" nor "many". instead, youshould just use "twice" or "double" by itself.

e.g., twice the increase --> "increase" is an explicitlynumerical quantity

谁能给我解释一下explicitly numerical quantity具体是指什么类的量？我看了知识点
补充更加不明白，为什么increase 是explicit 而且又numerical?

就是带点数的意思的词。比如amount， number,产量这种。可以直接说double/twice the amount of XXX。
但是说double the people/apple这种词就不对，因为人和苹果这种名词都不带着‘数’这种性质的。
