The Achaemenid empire of Persia reached the Indus Valley in the fifth century B.C.,  bringing with it the Aramaic script, from which derive both the northern and the  southern Indian alphabets.
这个句子中from which derive both the northern and the  southern Indian alphabets是倒装的因为状语提前

Massachusetts became the first state in which more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than under it.
但是这个句子中in which more babies were born to women为什么没有倒装

Students at Carver High School are encouraged to pursue only those extracurricular activities from which stems success in college applications.
Students at Carver High School are encouraged to pursue only those extracurricular activities from which success in college applications stems

Both versions are correct! The original sentence inverts the normal order of subject (success) and verb (stems = “originates”), but this inversion is possible after which or in similar positions. There is no change in meaning.
