标题: 大龄男求建议 1年MBA
鉴于30+大龄想读个一年得MBA
背景是工业500强国外工作经验2年 gmat710 好早前考得

现在看到Kellog和Johnson 和Emory
Kellogg 需要的课程居然有些我在大学没学过所以好像不能申请
Johnson要硕士
所以只剩Emory了Emory的奖学金有给1年MBA的吗？而且看到salary 好像比较一般
求一些醍醐灌顶得建议

Kellogg的课程可以通过上online course来补，还是值得申请的

Well it is very hard for me to tell you where you can go, and where you should apply because I don’t have enough information about you. Like, where do you work? What have you done at work? How old are you? Male or female? And what have you been doing all these years if you have only worked two years? What university did you graduate from? With what grades? And what diploma? Do you have any extra curricular activities? Or any volunteer work? All of these will affect your application, so get back to me, and I will do my best to help you out!

Thanks. Been here for a while and always see you helping people out.
My background is:
32 Yrs old, Male, G710, T: TBD
Worked for 10 years , with 2 years in overseas, started very entry level, currently am manager for procurement for TOP NA Industry company.
Graduate in local average university. GPA 3.2, Bachelor
Volunteer is quite few.
Would think go to NA/EU for working a while, 1-2 years, then back to Asia, China, Sing,,, etc
Your thoughts is appreciated

So, you can apply to both European and US schools. It will depend a bit on your work experience, but probably in the US, yo should be aiming at schools at about the 15-30/40, and in Europe, you can apply basically anywhere (except maybe LBS which will be tough). One of the advantages of Europe for you is that their classes tend to be older (30 years old on the average) and you will likely fit in better, although at 32 you are not tooooooo old either for American schools.

One final note is that since your goals are to return to China/Asia after your studies, you might want to look into some Asian programs too (like HKUST, CEIBS, INSEAD, the other schools in Singapore)

Thanks Jon. My goal for graduation is to turn to operation consulting from industry where I am now . Do you think it is a realistic goal? With 1 year program in NA basically is Emory , Kellogg (maybe difficult get in)?

正在申请呢，现在只申请Emory,因为5月就开学了 round 2是11月14号。
也在考虑Insead.. 7月开学！

Hey,
This goal seems to be pretty reasonable. After all, it is an industry in which you have plenty of experience, you only want to change your function, and also find new opportunities! I think you can apply to the one-year programs in Cornell, Kellogg, Emory in the US if you are more interested in US schools. If your application is good enough, you will have a real shot!
