题干里有一个 “ For this reason,” this 就指代前面提到的 since之后的 “furniture must be useful, cabinetmakers must exercise their craft with an eye to the practical utility of their product.”

since不是有因为的意思嘛

个人认为问题君是没懂drawing the conclusion above from the reason given for that conclusion，其实above之后的话都是没用，题目就是问原文什么假设得出结论。the reason 就是指除了conclusion之外所有东西，包括条件和条件间逻辑以及条件与结论的逻辑
