OG答案是B，我想问的是B和C之间的选择（我选了C），B中的but they are中的they不会有指代不明的问题么？离they最近的名词是speeds呀，就算不修饰speeds，会不会在stars和planets中间有不知道指代哪个的问题呢？

不会，they的语法地位是主语，和主句主语stars的地位一样，优先指代具有同等语法地位的～木有歧义

前面的they已经指代过stars了，后面的them当然也是和they指代相同的事物。因为一句话里的同一个代词只能指代同一事物
