标题: 比较结构，求NN指教！！！
首先感谢Mia，看了比较总结的帖子感觉甚是受益，比较一直就是我的弱项，这里附上原帖地址，希望对其他和我有同样问题的CDer也有用。

但是还有一些问题不是太太懂，求指教。
1.我觉得比较最重要的还是要分清句子在比较什么和什么，但是我这块有问题，请问到底如何认清句子在比较什么？
是通过比较结构来判断？还是通过句子意思来判断？

2.对于than后面能不能加句子的问题。
Mia帖子里说than后面是不能加句子的，
但是查了字典than有连词的功能啊，
而且比如，I walk faster than he does. 虽然不出does有点多余，但是这不是一个句子吗？

再来，According to public health officials, in 1998 Massachusetts became the first state in which more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than under it.
我如果把它不全，变成
According to public health officials, in 1998 Massachusetts became the first state in which more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than those were born to women under it. 不对吗？

比如这个例句，为什么说是在比较整句话的属性？我快晕了，求指导！！！

不是NN，说一下我的想法。你如果把句子补充成：
According to public health officials, in 1998 Massachusetts became the first state in which more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than those were born to women under it.

这句话比较的是baby（因为修饰语more修饰的是baby），所以比较的是主语。应该是 than those （who were） born to women under it. 但是who were是完全没有必要的，所以省去。

z说的情况应该是the economy of the city is more diversified than it was then years ago的情况吧。我理解的是在主系表结构或者是时间状语比较，如果时态有变化的时候才需要补出助动词或者系动词。

主要还是分清比较的是什么。希望有帮到你～

我的经验是判断句子的修饰语（通常是比较级）在修饰什么吧。

之前看到SISI在一个帖子里面说的很好：（当时我不好判断这两句话比较的有什么区别）
“1.rice has protein of higher quality than that in wheat
2.wild animals have less total fat than livestock
第一句比较的是宾语（因为higher quality修饰的是protein），要补出that
第二句比较的是主语（因为have less fat修饰的是主语），不需要补出。根据than前半部分比较级的位置，即可判断要比较的主体，前面是主谓，比较的是主语则不需要补出；前面是主谓宾比较的是宾语时，则需要补出。”

多看看比较的正确句子总结一下吧～也可以找找感觉。

对于你说的：“根据than前半部分比较级的位置，即可判断要比较的主体，前面是主谓，比较的是主语则不需要补出；前面是主谓宾比较的是宾语时，则需要补出。”不是很明白我感觉这两句话都是主谓宾
我觉得我还是靠句意得出比较对象的，对于比较级修饰谁可以再明确的解释一下吗？万分感谢===

有一道prep题非常困扰我：

答案说BDE都是比较对象错误，可是我无法分辨出ABDE中各自的比较对象是什么比什么，该如何分辨？

第一个句子，rice has protein of higher quality than that in wheat
是不是因为than前面没有与in wheat 相对应的状语，所以要补出that

题目大概意思：根据公共健康方面的官员称，在1998年，Massachusetts 成为第一个州，什么样的州呢？in which后面一句话都是修饰这个州，就是说更多的baby降生在30岁以上的妈妈身上（也就是说更多的妇女在30岁之后生孩子而不是30岁之前）
首先，题目中it指的是 the age of thirty, 我们试着把the age of thirty 代入 it 还原各个选项
A: 还原 more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than under the age of thirty
than 两边是比较age，perfect parallelism
B: 还原 more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than born under the age of thirty
句子结构more babies were born...than born....
第一个born+ to women over the age of thirty ；第二个 born + under the age of thirty, 不平行，错
C: 还原 more babies were born to women over the age of thirty than they were under the age of thirty
句子结构more babies were ...than they were....
第一个were + born to women over the age of thirty ；第二个were+under the age of thirty，不平行，错
D: 时态错， than 前面是were 过去式，后面是 had been
E: 时态错，than 前面是were 过去式，后面是 had been born

做比较题目先补出成分，然后从右往左看是否平行，具体看楼上的做法。
关于that要不要补出，核心还是看比较对象是否符合逻辑。lz不要纠结什么句子不句子。逻辑才是王道。

Rice has a protein higher in quality than that in wheat.
比较的是protein

Rice has a protein higher in quality than wheat does.
这句也是对的。比较的是rice 和wheat 含有高营养这件事情。

如果是 Rice has a protein higher in quality than wheat.就会变成quality和wheat比较。这样就不对了。
