(B) of different mental functions that are localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today

(C) that different mental functions are localized in different parts of the brain is widely accepted today（正确）

原句问题明显没什么说的，B中that把句子想表达的hypothesis的内容变成了 different mental functions。

我想问问如果把B中的that去掉（相当于把C中的that换成of），这样可以吗？

不过这个of不可以表达hypothesis的内容吗？

不能把整个括号是这个hypo的内容吗？

这个语法上没问题但是你不觉得别扭吗？而且还有there being 这种奇怪的用法 gmat语法点有一个 there be 句型很少用到
