答案是B，其他选项的错误我都明白，但是关于正确选项B有点疑问
大家对B的理解就是省略句：从句主语和主句主语一致时，可以省略从句中的主语和be动词。
问题是，如果把从句补全的话，就变成了while ( industrialization and modern methods of insect control ) ARE introducing some....
主句的have improved 和从句的are introducing明显不匹配吧，而且主从句的时态导致整个句子逻辑都有问题了呀
还望大牛解答一下~~~

LZ，我是这么理解的，对于introducing 可以不用认为它是省略，而可以把它看成是状语，这样对于主语来说，introducing是主动形式。这样是不和have improved冲突的。

while在这里引导状语从句，while在表示对比概念的时候两个事情是同时发生的（曼哈顿有讲）所以这里不是省略是状语句子结构式：主语+have done while doing....

但是把这个句子补全了之后可以是 while BM WAS studying the genetic makeup of corn, a new class of...
补全之后的句子是没有问题的

但是我说的那道题，补全了之后就变成了while ( industrialization and modern methods of insect control ) ARE introducing some....
可以用while (in&modern methods) are introducing..., they have improved...吗

所以这里的while状语从句不是省略句从句不能补全成while STH be doing？

因为题干中有while那肯定是引导的从句吧？然后这个是状语从句也没有问题。
既然又回到了while引导的状语从句，那不还是省略吗。。。。
还是不太明白

LZ理解的状语从句的省略，和偶理解的不一样
你说的问题
while at the same time introducing some 100,000 dangerous chemical pollutants.
其中的introducing中的ing不是进行时态，要把它理解成主动的语态，-ed是被动的语态
while Industrialization and modern methods ofinsect control have introduced....
