我对C选项比较好奇，这里的a work 可以作为同位语指代前面的动名词形式的宾语吗？

另外在GMAT中，过去时与完成时作为判断依据的帖子前人有没有相关的总结，知道的朋友求贴一下哈~~~

，后的都是根据就近原则指代，前的，中间不夹东西

所以这里应该是只能修饰 Iliad吗？，另外你指的前部，中间不夹带是什么意思呢请问？

就是只iliad，而不是xxx of the iliad

可以把translating the Iliad 当做一个整体作为同位语的修饰对象吗？

可以的,只能说不好,但肯定不是不可以,你可以换一种想法,对于这种有直接对应的名词的gerund来说(如translating-translation)，为了形合肯定两边都是action-noun最好，但是对于那些没有直接对应的，意思相同的名词的gerund来说如（hunting），如果想要用同位语来修饰这种work的话，你没法将hunting换成一个对应的名词，但是为了表达出这样的意思，只好用hunting。

其实说到底语法还是为了语义服务，你有这种表达语义的需求，又不会引起歧义，那么就是ok的。
