Hi,關於這個問題,我翻了一下以前上TOEFL文法的書,老師講到.
While當Adv-CL連接詞的時候有兩種意義,一種表時間,即"當...的時候",一種表對照,即兩種不同情形的對照,可翻成"然而".
而當表時間時,若主詞相同且動詞為be-Verb可同時省略,若主詞相同,動詞為一般動詞則省略主詞動詞變分詞.
但若了對照,則不管怎麼樣,主詞動詞都不能省.
現在我們來套用一下:
OG31(E)照題意應該是表對照,所以不能省,應該要完整寫出while they are willing to...
OG178,照題意表時間,即當他們在perform specific jobs的時候,又句意明確指criminals,所以要改成while performing
OG233,也表時間,所以也改成while raising
提供給各為參考...^_^
可是状语从句的省略可以连词+形容词短语呀：while+willing...??
