The spacing of the four holes on a fragment ofa bone flute excavated at a Neanderthal campsite is just what is
required to play the third through sixth notes of the diatonic scale—the seven-note musical scale used in much
of Western music since the Renaissance. Musicologists therefore hypothesize that the diatonic musical scale
was developed and used thousands of years before it was adopted by Western musicians.
Which of the following, iftrue, most strongly supports the hypothesis?
(A) Bone flutes were probably the only musical instrument made by Neanderthals.

1. 骨笛的一部分包含4孔，可以演奏全音阶的3-6声+骨笛全长可以支持全音阶演奏--->骨笛可能支持全音阶
2. Neanderthal根据常识是几千年前的事情（就好像提到renaissance没必要明确公元年份）
结合一下。

前提：骨笛的其中一部分有四个孔，孔之间的间距来保证演奏3-6个notes，而全音是7个notes（used in western music）
假设：在被应用于western之前，全音已经发展和被使用了很多年。
要支持该假设，答案E说，用来做Neanderthal的笛子足够长，去完成全音。设想，如果N笛不能包括the entire seven-note，the bone fragement的存在就不能支持哪个假设。
