各位CD NN，求问PREP 08 218题，马上就考试了~心里好紧张~~求各位NN回复！

题目如下：Onlyseven people this century have been killed by the great white shark, theman-eater of the movies—less than those killed by bee stings.

A.movies—less than those

B.movies—fewer than have been

C.movies, which is less than those

D.movies, a number lower than the people

E.movies, fewer than the ones

答案是：B。
这里我不明白的是B和E。

B：08语法笔记说：than既可以做连词也可以做代词，就是这里than也代指了people。这里我还是不太明白，希望NN能更多的解释一下，以及给出一些其他例句。以及，破折号这样用对吗？前面是逗号，后面是破折号？

E：the ones为什么不能指代people呢？
