标题: 十年工作经验申请香港地区PT--MBA的问题，求助！
我估计自己比CD里面的同学都老很多

现在是0基础准备，大家别嫌弃我

本人04年国内本科毕业开始工作，13年国内在职研究生毕业、同年换了工作，今年2季度开始会派到香港工作几年。由于之前教育背景不怎么样，所以一直想给自己充电。鉴于我是到香港工作，所以我只能选择PART-TIME的项目。对此，我有如下项目想请教各位：

问的有点啰嗦，还请大家见谅。

Part-time MBA candidates with over 10 years of extensive work experience and a strong academic background might have the GMAT requirement waived subject to approval by the School. Admitted candidates will be notified of the result of their GMAT waiver upon receiving the admissions offer from us.

PT MBA application is highly competitive as seen of today's market. There have been plenty of applicants with 10 years working experience for HKU/CUHK/HKUST this year.

If you intend to enroll 2014 part-time MBA intake, i personally suggest to you rush application RIGHT NOW without hesitation of taking GMAT whatsoever but rather focus on writing essays and CV - that are more important than GMAT for an applicant with over 10 years working experience.

HKUST may have more availability this year since they are more conservative to award offers to applicants in R1/R2. However that's only speculation only.

坦率的讲我没想到能申请2014年入学，所以原本是按照15年入学来准备。不过我会认真考虑你的建议并评估自己操作的可能性，毕竟除了自身的实力和努力，推荐信需要和别人进行沟通，我不一定能完全控制节奏。

关于竞争较为激烈的问题，我有一定的心理准备，当然对自己的能力和履历也有信心，不过还是稍微有点意外，或许是未来不确定性太多、大家都不愿意放弃现在的工作吧。

此外我还有一点点疑问：根据我的情况，我是算local  applicant or international ?这两方面在申请的机会上有没有倾向呢？

Overyoka, if you hold a valid working permit at Hong Kong regardless of its duration, you will be statistically classified as 'Hong Kong Applicant'. However it does not matter much on whether you are a Hong Kong applicant or China mainland applicant as you will be equally treated whatever you are from Hong Kong or China mainland and any school does not have such preference or limitation imposed. DO remember that school will not be responsible for applying visa at Hong Kong if you are in part-time MBA programme and if your company contend to relocate you elsewhere within the two years since your MBA commencement, you have to think about the visa issues.

Of course, for 2015 intake, you have plenty of time to think out and prepare for your GMAT. Despite school can consider to exempt GMAT under a few circumstances, you are still recommended to take one especially when applying HKUST.

签证问题确实不能忽视，论坛里也看到一些朋友因此产生的困扰，我会认真对待。

My pleasure. Visa is a particular issue you need to consider if you intend to have short-term internship as a preparation for career change.

申請香港PT MBA的競爭沒那麼大，大膽去申請吧。
根據自己需要，選平日晚間或者週末上課。

啰嗦一句，我觉得MBA的过程比结果重要。

多問問香港朋友，你會了解3間MBA不同之處，最明顯分別是學習有幾辛苦。

ust parttime prigramme, 我個人覺得幾辛苦下，未必適合在職人仕。hku 又太容易，收學生有啲泛濫，低學習態度。

cuhk 剛好兩者中間。

CU其实是个很好的学校，但是不知道为什么招了些水货学生，在这里唧唧歪歪，把自己的名声都搞臭了。
