上看下看，左看右看，那个选项都别扭，只好本着矬子里边拔大个儿的原则，选D，各位有何高见。谢谢！

A)当中are producing错，且providing them会让人产生歧义；B)are produces错，而且主谓不一致，且providing与milked也不平行；C)provided与milking不平行，另外are producing也有问题；E)will produce错；D)中provided with...regularly我认为是状语提前，修饰the Holstein cow，是这种牛被提供，别喂养．所以D对．此为愚见！

用一句俗话，I can't agree with you more. hehe.但是，从句子结构来讲，D也是很别扭的。

愚以为，如果作如下调整，有可能还能顺畅一些：

Provided with high-energy feed, and milked regularly, the LACE w:st="on">HolsteinLACE> cow produces an average of 2,275 gallons of milk each per year for the farmer who takes care to keep them cool.老兄以为哪？

同意！或者将for the farmer who takes care to keep them cool夹在中间，即" Provided with high-energy feed, and milked regularly, the Holstein cow, for the farmer who takes care to keep them cool, produces an average of 2,275 gallons of milk each year.　似乎更好些，老兄以为哪？

唉！这题好阴险的说。 A要是放在别的题里边，打死也不是正确答案。唉！要是D改成H cows produce该多好呀。但应该不是笔误的说。

我觉得天山4-12和本题都应该是选A. them很清晰的指代了cows.

E. 不用看后面的单复数, For the farmer, provided with high energy feed, .. Holstein cows will produce 就已经有修饰的歧义了.

从网上搜来的句子

For the farmer who takes care to keep them cool, sated with high-energy chow, and milked regularly—often under the management of a sophisticated computer—these familiar black-and-white cows produce an average of 2,275 gallons of milk each per year.

可以看出这里provided with high-energy feed, and milked regularly作形容词看待和cool平行。D如果是Holstein cows produce，则比E的will好。A可能会产生歧义 keep them providing them with high-energy feed，或者keep them cool，providing them with high-energy feed, 本来应该平行的结构，变成了伴随，意思表达感觉不好。还有一种可能的歧义providing them with high-energy feed，Holstein cows are produceing。

Jnlvo版主讲的有道理. A看起来是有歧义. 看起来本题答案是D.

还有一个问题.

to keep them cool, sated, and milked regularly. 讲的通.

本题: keep them cool, provided, and milked them regularly

keep them provided感觉好象不通啊.

keep them provided硬翻的话：使它们一直被提供着....。好像也能讲的通。这里可以近似看做为keep providing them with。keep sth. done是个较常见的表达，至于其和keep doing sth.的差别，我想一个是强调状态，一个是强调动作，还有是done这个动作执行者可能不一定是keep的逻辑主语，其它的就不清楚了。
