标题: 关于一个语法点：initial modifer中的代词问题（源于baby姐的备战日记）
在baby姐的备战日记（http://forum.chasedream.com/thread-646901-323-1.html）中，提到这样一个语法点：
initial modifier里面的代词，要么就是指代这个initial modifier内部的名词，要么就是指代主语。
请问各位，这个语法点的出处在哪里？有没有正规渠道的系统解释？

下面这些是这个语法点的背景（见高亮部分）：
题目：OG13 #104
Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinating them with her narratives, capitalized on her keen observation and love of the natural world.

(A) Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinating them with her narratives,
(B) In her book illustrations, carefully coordinating them with her narratives, Beatrix Potter
(C) In her book illustrations, which she carefully coordinated with her narratives, Beatrix Potter
(D) Carefully coordinated with her narratives, Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations
(E) Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinated them with her narratives and

千行excel中引用了baby姐的日记（http://forum.chasedream.com/thread-646901-323-1.html）
如果你当"carefully coordinating them ..."修饰后面出现的"Beatrix Potter ..."的话：
1. "carefully coordinating them ..."前面和后面都有东东，很awkward.
我们可以说：
Slipping on the ice, I hurt my ankle.
但不能说：
On the playground, slipping on the ice, I hurt my ankle.
这个句子"slipping ..."到底是跟着前面的"playground"还是跟着后面的"I hurt my ankle"？所以很awkward.
如果是跟着后面的"I hurt my ankle"，那么就是
adverbial modifier #1, adverbial modifier #2, main clause.
你有见着两个同时修饰同一个句子的adverbial modifiers就那么用逗号串联么？
2. 如果你把"carefully coordinating them ..."当做initial modifier修饰后面出现的"Beatrix Potter ..."，initial modifier里面的代词，要么就是指代这个initial modifier内部的名词，要么就是指代主语。所以这里them错误。

没有见过这个语法点，mark一下
不过两个修饰词的话一般modifier1,noun,modifier2，这两个modifier都修饰noun的话这种结构用得比较多吧，但是具体的情况还是要根据句子意思判断，不能死记这种语法点,modifier的语法点比较灵活吧

嗯，忘记在哪里看到的了，ron说过modifier就是很灵活，所以我也同意你的看法，这里死记不是好办法哈。
