疑问在D
1、能用 subject+ modifer 1 and modifer 2的结构吗？OG关于D的解析貌似是默认可以的。
2、 known as the Flavian Amphitheater 这个modifer修饰的是the Roman Colosseum吗？还是construction ofthe Roman Colosseum

第一问：
可以的，只要他们是平行的两个部分就没有问题
但是这里这个begun是不对的
construction XXX， begun 被开始？被谁开始？直接用began比较好
第二问：
这里修饰的是 the Roman Colosseum
X of Y 还是要根据句意来决定修饰成分修饰的是哪一部分作者: 兰心寒 时间: 2013-12-11 17:09
第二问，known as the FA,修饰的是the Roman Colosseum.
所以虽然 subject, modifier1 and modifer 2这种结构理论上是可以，但是要有一个要求，modifier 1和modifier2必须modify同一个东东。这里D选项，officially known修饰的是the RC，而begun(即便可以修饰），也修饰的是construction，所以在这个例子里是不允许的。
另外，同意楼上的，没必要用begun修饰某事或某物
