请教 in her book illustrations在原句中是什么成分？
A中coordinating修饰的是哪个词，分词修饰的词一定是它前面挨着的名词吗即illustration？
E选项我认为是对的，in her book illustrations相当于插入语，coordinated和capitalized的主语是 Beatrix Potter。我的理解错在哪？
A的解释 use of the present progressive form of the verb confuses the sequence of time with respect to the past tense of the main verb capitalized.但我认为这里的现在分词是因为和主语是主动关系，和时态没有关系，所以不存在confuses the sequence of time，我的理解错在哪呢？

我觉得楼主的问题是没有在语义上划分好修饰部分和修饰主体。
这句话里：(In her book illustrations(, which she carefully coordinated with her narratives),) Beatrix Potter...
紫色的在修饰黄色的，而黄色的在修饰主句。
这样看的话，A-既然主句都用过去时态了，那紫色的部分用现在进行时就非常别扭
E-修饰语怎么能和主句用and并列呢。

不知道这样讲能不能理解><

我觉得A中的coordinating是作为现在分词修饰BP的，所以ing不表示时态

现在分词有两个功能：表主动和表正在进行，后者甚至是更为原始的功能阿，所以才有伴随状语一说阿。。

A选项先来个现在分词，后面跟个过去时，OG说它时态混淆一点也没冤枉它。。

这道题只要人名后是in her book illustrations 的选项，通通排除掉就行了。名词后放介词短语，这是太明显的后置定语的嫌疑，逻辑上就出现真人卡通片的效果了。

剩下的B选项，说它时态杂糅或者伴随状语失败都没问题了。
