标题: OG13题 104的一个分词修饰问题!!!!
Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinating them with her narratives, capitalized on her keen observation and love of the natural world.

         (A) Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinating them with her narratives,
(B) In her book illustrations, carefully coordinating them with her narratives, Beatrix Potter
(C) In her book illustrations, which she carefully coordinated with her narratives, Beatrix Potter
(D) Carefully coordinated with her narratives, Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations
(E) Beatrix Potter, in her book illustrations, carefully coordinated them with her narratives and

答案错误都知道 只是有个小问题: RON 对于A中  如果假设 coordinating 修饰 capitalized的分句
baby姐对于A选项我的疑惑点的看法:

OG的话是倒过来说,作者用了v-ing,要表达的意思就好像coordinating事件是capitalized事件的背景,而事实上这不合逻辑,是mixed up the timing.

来自manhattan第四版chapter 6有关modifier在这题的知识点:

Avoid long sequences of modifiers that modify the same noun. Putting two long modifiers in a row before or after a noun can lead to awkward or incorrect phrasings.

capitalized和coordinating不存在合理的逻辑修饰关系(Ron):

even if you interpret "carefully coordinating them..." as a modifier of the following clause, it doesn't make sense. specifically, it doesn't actually modify that clause: the fact that she coordinated her drawings with her stories has nothing to do with her love of the natural world.

附上作者提到OG 对A  解释中的疑问!!!OG是这么解释分词那一块的:use of the present progressive form of the verb confuses the sequence of time with respect to the past tense of the main verb capitalized.
求帮助哦~~~ 好心人哦~~~~

The key thing I think, is the them in Choice A, which can not refer back to book illustrations and in Choice C, the subject Beatrix Potter is closer to the verb capitalized......
