Jules Verne's fictional Phileas Fogg. 不是一个人吗？为什么要拿前面的exploits 来做比较？？不是应该人跟人比较么？

把这题在CD上的帖子都看完了，几乎没有人提这个问题，就开始怀疑自己的智商了，看上思来想去还是不懂啊，菜鸟不怕丢人，请大家帮忙解释一下啊！！！

首先看未划线的句子啊，JV是一个人，可是未划线的句子中是JV's 这就说明不是两个人在比较二是这两个人的某种东西比较。

可是Jules Verne's fictional Phileas Fogg，这个Phileas Fogg还是一个人啊，JV小说里的PF，归根结底还是说的PF这个人。后来分析一下句子自己感觉应该是 circling the globe faster than Jules Verne's fictional Phileas Fogg 这两个circling the globe 和Jules Verne's fictional Phileas Fogg 怎么对比呢？是不是有省略？

我猜的是，语义上，NB的功绩包括（他）环球旅行用时比JV小说里的PF用时还短。因为PF是JV小说《Around the World in Eighty Days》里的人物嘛。
个人感觉按语义理解，这个更说得通，但是从语法上说，是否是省略了his? 即：A pioneer journalist, Nellie Bly's exploits included (his) circling the globe faster than Jules Verne's fictional Phileas Fogg.

我也不确定了，总觉得上面的语法怪怪的。合理的应该是included (his) circling the globe faster than that of PF in JV's fiction吧？

我觉得是PF后面有省略，因为比较速度的话肯定是circle the globe的速度来比较而不是人和人来比较，虽然平时都说A比B快但是实际上还是A跑得比B快这样才对吧。
所以如果是PF后面省略了动词circle的话应该能讲通，但我不知道可不可以这样省略...
