such 在这里表示副词，强调。。。
上次我问的是so的问题，他说：so表示强调，如此，这样等强调的意思时候呀，一定要加that....

在Manhattan 里 有对such 的解释
the word such often combines with a general noun to indicate an antecedent.Such means“like the antecedent”
而在这个题里， such a chemical irritant。 chemical irritant 是首次出现，所以用such 在来修饰它 就是 重复 redundancy。
