标题: GWD的一题关于modifier

这一题我想纠结一下A选项的by skiming along the top of atomosphere，这个句子的主语是a new style,而V-ing要么修饰前面的句子要么修饰主句主语，但是逻辑上来说应该是aircraft skim along the top...哪位能解释一下？而且OG有一题是关于V-ing修饰名词的问题：

官方给的解释是 A of B, V-ing..., V-ing修饰的是名词A而不是名词B.那么同理可以推上一题，by skimming是修饰style而不是aircraft，但这一来就不符合逻辑意思。这就是我纠结的问题所在

第一题所有的选项都是new style of aircraft....没法选啊、。。。其实我刚看到的时候也很疑惑。。。求解啊
第二题，我怎么觉得选B呢？og说过动名词的所有格结构awkward....就像scientist's assuming that....不是

第二题B不对，这个是OG上的题目，题号我忘记了，你找找，这里的with结构我理解的是做定语修饰insect eye.第二题的答案不是C选项，assuming那有问题。是E选项，我忘记粘贴出来了：

我觉得在这里，虽然A of B 通常核心词在A 而不在B ，但这里要是把new style 作为主语的话，与后面的谓语逻辑不一致了，
aircraft 才能 fly ，new style不能fly，所以主语是the new style of aircraft 。
并且开始according to it's proponent ，肯定不会是style的支持者而是这种新式的飞船的支持者。

这里的a style of A 与 a new style of A 两种表达意思是有区别的，前者强调的是方式，后者强调即短语核心词在A 。但没有官方的依据，顶起来等牛牛来解答。
