标题: ones到底能不能指代people?
菜鸟一枚，望大神见谅：
1,在prep上看到ones 不能指代people，后来，prep笔记上又说能，到底能不能呀？
2，副词只能修饰动词吗？
3，连词到底有那些？and ,but ,because .....(so是副词吧？)

1.ones在gmat中都不能用，one指代整体中的一个。I love these umbrellas ,and i will buy one ；that是特指同一类型的，并非同一个事物：the economy in China grows faster than that in USA；it是精确指代原文中的东西：The cake you bought is delicious，and I just ate it。

2.副词一般情况下只能修饰动词，形容词，有一点要记住！就是副词不能直接连接句子：The broad of directors is serious about this scandal，namely the CEO was involved in a inside trading。这句话就是错误的，因为namely是不能当做连词的。但是副词可以修饰从句，这里可以变成namely that the CEO was involved in a inside trading。就行了，一定记住的就是副词不能当连词即可

3.so的用法多，so在指：那么、如此表强调的时候，是副词：she is so beautiful；但是注意！gmat中的so只要表强调一定有that！所以上面一句话就错误的！应是she is so beautiful that many boys are hitting on her。（看到么，这里的副词就是修饰beautiful这个形容词的）也可以改成：she is very beautiful so that the school choose her to be the representative 。这里的so就是修饰从句that的，即副词修饰从句

但是，so 也可以做连词，表示因此、这样。（so that是结果状语从句，但是只有so的话就是连接两个完整句了）
