这里的正确答案是D，用的是by which。忽略掉CD里有没有will的区别，请问这里用so that有何不妥？

这题PREP08里的咩。
so that 引导目的性状语。展示好奇的目的是new patterns of behavior and expression 能......？？？？？
说不通阿。

By which不也相似吗？

我理解的by是通过的意思。which就是普通的定语从句关系代词指代curiosity。目的状语从句应该是So taht 后面是curiosity的目的。这个明显不对。
还有楼主在哪里看里看到说by which 是引导目的了？= =

So poorly educated and trained are many young recruits to the United States work force that many business executives fear this country will lose its economic preeminence.
这是OG里的一道题的正确答案，这里so that也不是引导目的的吧……

还是说，so……that与so that不一样呢？

这里是结果。
选项分析：
A. s.v.o. + so that + 情态动词+ v.引导的是目的性状语，用在此处逻辑错误；imitating and practicing不如imitation和practice语义相符及简洁；from each one to others用法错误，泛指群体里两个个体之间的关系应该用one…another…
B. Will时态不对，虽然will+v.可以表达的某个动作的常常发生(略带预测的味道)，但此处为描述科研成果用一般现在时更为恰当；So that用法不对，同上；imitating and practicing不如imitation和practice好。
C. Will时态不对，同上；So that用法不对，同上；
D. Correct；本题可以从the kind of curiosity前的the推出后面用so that引导目的或结果状语并不恰当，另外因为前面也没有提到过这种curiosity，应该用定语从句才对。
