我选了B，从语义上我有体会了一下，B应该是可以的啊，求解释理由，谢谢额。

B中， over 2,500 miles in length 作为non-essential noun modifier修饰前面的highway，没有问题。
但是因为over 2,500 miles in length是non-essential的，后面的and extended从语法上来说应该和主句并列，这就不合逻辑了~
E的话，应该是个同位语从句啦，The greatest road system built in the Americas prior to the arrival of Christopher Columbus作为appostive modifies noun ”highway“

B和E语法都正确，区别仅仅在含义。

B：The greatest road system extended from northern Ecuador through Peru to Southern Chile
E：the Incan highway extended from northern Ecuador through Peru to Southern Chile
看看那个更make sense.
