菜鸟实在不明白下面这段关于比较问题对应的例题
原话如下

介宾比较 A  do sth of C1 by D1 than  of C2 by D2. 注意一定要是介宾才能直接跟在than后面
例子  The clothes inside the store looked more appealing than outside the rocks. 错，不是介宾比较

      The clothes inside the store looked more appealing than did those outside the rocks. 对

菜鸟是在不明白这里谁是介宾？为什么要加did?难道本句话里的clothe 是介宾？？

这句话之所以有错误是因为有歧义。
可以理解为
1、The clothes inside the store looked more appealing than those outside the rocks.
比较的是two sets of clothes
2、The clothes looked more appealing inside the store than outside the rocks.
比较的是the same clothes

奥奥，谢谢，那能不能麻烦您给我解释下什么叫介宾的比较，我就得这个例子里没有介宾的成分啊
