考点：
1.       比较结构
2.       倍数表达：twice (as much as) sth.; X times adj. than; X times as adj. as; double sth.
3.       as,than可以做比较从句的主语，例：
In one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War, fought at Sharpsburg, Maryland, on September 17, 1862, four times as many Americans were killed as would later be killed on the beaches of Normandy during D-Day.  As指代了americans。
选项分析：
A．       is being错误，且as可以做比较从句的主语，删去being后可以直接用as much as is emitted annually；但是即便如此amount X is twice as much as amount Y也不如直接twice amount Y简洁
B．       annually位置错误，应该放在is emitted后面修饰emitted
C．       as…compared to搭配错误；what is annually emitted by all中what的范围大于the total amount of pollutant，而且其实可以简化
D．       Correct；twice后面可以直接接名词，twice as much as也是对的
E．       compared to多余，且compared to的比较两端不平行，一边是pollutants，一边是motor vehicles

答案说B 错了  我在BD 徘徊呢最后我选的B
答案是B中annual位置不对我怎么觉得这个没有影响的呢如果不对  B应该怎么翻译呢？

the real problem is that "is" has no parallel in the first part of the comparison - i.e., the first part doesn't say "is emitted" or "are emitted" - and so the comparison is wrong.
这个是我一开始排除的主要原因。然后，记住副词修饰要尽量靠近它所修饰的形容词：）

我才来我觉得你说的是解题的一个办法但是如果这个副词意思不一样这两个句子有什么差异呢意思

B打乱了平行结构。且B也改变了原句的意思。All motors改成了the，意思改变。

当没有annually时，as much as 。这里的much更倾向于是形容词大量的意思。
如果annually 放在 much 后面，那么much就作为副词更像在修饰副词annually 那么这两个副词的中心就是（ much annually），在annually 上了，
而句子的意思是比较的是两者的数量！
并且这个选项我是这样排除错误的，asas第二个as 作为介词或连词。后面通常跟名词或 that 从句不知道这个is emitted by 前面有省略？我依靠的这一点排除的B 不知道有没有问题。

每次做题有subtle difference meaning 的地方我总是看不出来哦 10天了就三站了。。诶

另外你说的是对的 is 这里太不好了不是很对称

不用担心一般这样很subtle都建立在大错误之上的，一般大方向对了就OK，gmac 只是让题更有迷惑性罢了，加油，我还没考过呢！下个月考！！

我7月报名一报完发现2个长裤我期待的是9.1考 24天的鸡精我25号的后来弄来弄去额还行吧 2个长裤一个短裤差不多
