The contractor and the engineer agree on the cause of the bridge failure, but both blame the other.

B. each blames the other

D. both are blaming the other

E. each blames one another

答案B，我选E

这道题帖子不多，总结来说就是

the other是两者之间，one another是三者以上。但是查了朗文 One another，有这样一个例句：

Liz and I have known one another for years. 这里明明是两个人呀？

而且之前说the other出现，前面必定要有one，这也是导致我当时排除B的原因。

马上二战，求解答。

E的错误在于逻辑，和二者三者无关，E中each作主语的情况下 blames each other 或者one another都不对。

现代英语中已经不讲什么两个三个了。基本上each other和one another是通用了
注意both 和each的变化
both blame one another/ each other
each blames the other

LS说的没看懂，我觉得简单来说，可以用contractor/engineer来替换each,似乎好理解

噢~ 这样啊。。。。这是要记住么。。the other不是说前面出现one才能选的么，这一点是不是要修正啊。。。

噢噢懂了，不选each blames one another。。。但是我想问的是哪个the other啊。。。each blames the other不是正确的么，前面不是没有One么。

那个是正确的用法，相互代词不能作主语，但是可以把它分开
