标题: issue-81 第一弹 求拍
81. All parents should be required to volunteer time to their children's schools.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.

There is a growing concern about whether parents should volunteer time to their children's schools, the speaker of the statement advocate that parents are supposed to be required to spend time with their children in schools. I agree with the speaker in sofar as positively keeping abreast of children's school life will be beneficial for their physical and mental development. However, due to my personal experiences, I believe that parents should not be required to volunteer time to their children's schools.

There is no doubt about the fact that parents should be aware of their children's performance in school, because establishing a well communication with their children's schools will be significantly useful for parents to keep their children healthy and help children get a satisfying academic performance. A recent survey conducted by education researchers in the United States indicates that children whose parents actively collaborate with schools have a better academic record and less likely to get a poor condition than children whose parents learn little about their children's school life. So it is possible to draw the conclusion that parents should be required to volunteer time to their children's schools.

However, it is presumptuous to demand all parents to volunteer time to their children's schools. Students who can take responsibility for themselves do not need their parents get involved in their school life. Take graduate students for example, the majority of graduate students, as adults, have the ability to regulate their study and personal life, so there is no need to ask their parents to volunteer time to their schools.

In addition, it is unavailable and unnecessary to require all parents to volunteer time to their children's schools. On an objective scale, not of all parents have superfluous time to participate in activities held in their children's schools. Some parents are busy with their business, and some parents who work at abroad make it difficult to join in affairs in schools. On a subjective scale, a number of parents so feel reluctant to spend much time on schools activities that they may prefer to contact schools through telephone or mail.

In conclusion, I agree that parents should care for their children's school life. However, it does make sense that every parent should be required to volunteer time to their children's school.

这篇文章,第三四段感觉写的有些仓促了,感觉可以再深挖下。
