OA:A，但是我选D。我认为第二个黑体字是gives the explanation that the argument seeks to establish.这一题的main conclusion是Such reasoning might well be overoptimistic，而since corporate executives have been known to buy shares in their own company in a calculated attempt to dispel negative rumors about the company's health是来支撑main conclusion的，它解释了为什么前面的是overoptimistic.而官方给的第二句话的解释我看不懂。求各位解释一下。

第一个黑体字：several...in their own bank. 第二个黑体字是最后一句话：since cooperate executives have...health.

我支持楼主选D，很明显第一个句子是background,第二个句子是证明overoptimistic那句的。
我认为A不对，主要是第二个句子不是question那个support,而是question那个conclusion.
