标题: OG13 130 比较和指代问题

Over 75 percent of the energy produced in France derives from nuclear power, while in

Germany it is just over 33 percent.

(A) while in Germany it is just over 33 percent

(B) compared to Germany, which uses just over 33 percent

(D) whereas just over 33 percent of the energy comes from nuclear power in Germany

(E) compared with the energy from nuclear power in Germany, where it is just over 33 percent

疑问：1.A while 解释说ambiguous since it might idicate simultaneity rather than contrast 那岂不会有两种意思的词都是ambiguous了？？
2.A it 的指代问题，解释中只说ambiguous,不是第一次碰到了，想知道这里it语法上是指代什么的。看了有些帖子说有优先指代这么回事，本人只看了manhattan还只看到第八章，找不到哪里有提及这个。去网上查资料，说主从句的话，从句的代词指代查找顺序——主语，宾语，表语，修饰语。那是不是这里it就是指代主语？？

3.E 解释里说compared with 也是ambiguous 想知道这里语法上compared with 名词是和什么比较看了prep08笔记里详细说了

1) compared with直接跟在逗号后面可以修饰逗号前面名词短语的核心词：——

Example：

In the United States, while the number of foreign-born residents and their children is higher than ever, the percentage of the population they represent is not; in 1910 this group made up 35 percent of the population, compared with 20 percent in 2000.
2) Compared with也可以修饰前面整个分句，compared with后面的名词与主语比较：

Example:

u Today, more than 43 percent of Californians under the age of eighteen are Hispanic, compared with about 35 percent a decade ago

这样的话是不是一用compared with就说ambiguous，因为我们不知道它后面名词到底是跟逗号前那个名词比较还是跟主语比较。还有第一种情况核心词能能拿到就是35percent of the population? 不是35percent 或者 population?

问题1，OG的意思是，it/they指代的东西是一个，而that/those指代的不同
eg. the money spent by her parents is more than it was expected to be.(一样多的money）
her company is outperforming that of her competitor.(不一样的公司）

而题目中的油明显是法国的还有德国的不一样啊~
E 我认为compare的应该是75%的油和33%的油，不能把75%丢了，of之前是重心。
