标题: gwd上一题求助！～

Somescientists contend that many species of dinosaur had a metabolism more likea warm-blooded mammal’s than a cold-blooded reptile’s.

C. that the metabolisms of manyspecies of dinosaurs were more like those of

这题选错了。。应该选a。这里不懂的是： 1. like 和 be like 有啥区别？ b中的were若改成was那是不是就正确了。。
2. like作对比时是否要求一种很严格的structurally的对比？比如，B错误是不是有一部分原因是它对称不够工整？"the metabolism of many dinosaur species was more like that of a warm-blooded mammal than that of a cold-blooded reptile." 如果是这样不就更工整吗？这个点能否作为判断一个选项是否正确的标准还是仅仅只能是参考而已？

like的比较，like后面只能跟名词，而且比较对象要对等，其次like在这个句子里面是做动词啊，were也是动词，2个动词连用？

这个是能够这样用得应该，只是我不知道这种用法是不是太过口语化而不能在gmat中用，比如“ sarah is more like her dad". 求解释啊。。。！～
